The Cygnet Association and Cygnet Township Structure Plan

An update as to where the Cygnet Township Structure Plan is at will be a key feature of the Cygnet Association’s annual general meeting being held Tuesday, September 30 at the PCSC Clubrooms.

The update will be presented by Huon Valley Chief Executive Officer, Lachlan Kranz.

Cygnet Association President, Howard Wilcockson said the AGM is an event in which the public are welcome to attend.

“The event will not only give people an insight into the Association’s projects but Mr Kranz’s presentation will answer a lot of people’s questions about the Cygnet Township Structure Plan."

‘Over the last few years there has been a considerable amount of community involvement in the way of community surveys and workshops, giving people an opportunity to express their aspirations for the district'.

‘It will be enlightening to hear what in the way of public opinion has been taken on board and the direction that the town is headed in,’ he said.
The presentation will also give people an idea as to what’s happening with the new ambulance station that is to be built in Cygnet, further plans to improve pedestrian accessibility in Mary Street and other projects that are on the drawing board for the town’, he said.

The Cygnet Association meeting will begin at 7pm. Mr Kranz will begin his presentation at 7.45pm, after the AGM. A light supper, tea and coffee and drinks from the bar will be available.
